Luke 9:1 (NRSV) Then Jesus called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases,
Luke 10:19 (NRSV) See, I have given you authority
to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing will hurt you.
Ephesians 6:11–13 (NRSV) Put on the whole armour of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
2 Corinthians 10:4–5 (NRSV) for the weapons of our warfare are not merely human, but they have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments 5 and every proud obstacle raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.

Act in ways that bring light into dark places!
Serve as Jesus served ... with humility and joy.
He has given us all we need!
