The Anointing of God's Holy Spirit

1 John 2:20 (NRSV) But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and all of you have knowledge.
We have an anointing from the Holy One - our Lord Jesus Christ.
When a person is saved, he/she receives the indwelling Holy Spirit, Who enables the believer to discern between truth and error.
This anointing is the foundation to growing in spiritual maturity.
